Redheaded Stranger

A dive-y, garage-y taco shop was the theme behind East Nashville's Redheaded Stranger . Taking cues from the Willie Nelson song this space is Powell’s modern take on southwest design. The design team wanted to utilize as much of the existing space as possible, preserving the existing floors and windows. The space feels fresh and clean in soft white wood paneling and birch wood, along with punches of colorful tile as a play on the patterning of a mexican blanket. The casual bar pays homage to diner style - counter height fixed stools, turquoise laminate top, and chrome accents. The vibe is undoubtedly southwest and encourages guests to feel right at home.
