The unpretentious, comfortable energy of a true Japanese neighborhood pub, or izakaya, drove the overall approach to Chattanooga’s Japanese-inspired ramen house and bar Two Ten Jack, located on the lower level in the Scenic City’s Warehouse Row. To build that ambience, the Powell team chose materials and colors that reflect a modern twist on the traditional izakaya, including light wood tones, soft leather, polished and patinated concrete. Space restrictions posed challenges and offered opportunities to amplify the neighborly vibes — communal tables under intimate lighting help Two Ten Jack Chattanooga feel like a welcoming urban gathering spot, where local and Japanese culture come together.
